Flying Mule Farm

Flying Mule Farm offers grass-fed lamb, beef and goat - available at local farmer's markets, fine restaurants, and directly from the farm.  Click here for our current price list.  We don't always have every item on our list available, so be sure to check with us first.  Did you know that Flying Mule Farm is the only USDA-certified producer of grass-fed lamb in the Sierra foothills? This means that USDA has verified that we feed our lambs grass and only grass – a claim no other local producer can make!  Check out the grass-fed difference!  Check out our Grass-fed Production Protocols and Animal Husbandry Guidelines. Grass-fed meat offers tremendous health benefits - it's higher in Omega-3 fatty acids and cancer-fighting conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) than grain-fed meat.  Our lamb and goat are free of antibiotics and added hormones.  We're also predator friendly - our livestock guardian dogs protect our sheep and goats from coyotes, mountain lions and dogs while allowing us to co-exist with these predators.  Most importantly, our customers tell us that our lamb and goat are the most delicious they've ever tasted!
